The project focused on analyzing the possibilities of efficient use of renewable energy sources (RES) in practice, i.e. the possibilities of real use of mainly solar and wind energy in the design and construction of independent island (Grid-Off) power plant systems. One of the forms of use of such power plants is their construction in common containers together with a selected application whose energy requirements are covered by this power plant. This was also the aim of the output pilot application.
The project was planned and approved in such a way that RMC s.r.o., as the applicant and beneficiary, was responsible for its solution and provided the solution together with its partner – the Trenčín Alexander Dubček University in Trenčín.
The strategic objective of the project was – Creation of a knowledge and technological base of corporate research and development (R&D), designed for the creation and implementation of applications of RES in economic practice. The specific objectives of the project were: a./ Creation of an expert (knowledge) system for the use of RES in applications for the promotion of „Health and Quality of Life“ in society, b/ Building a research and technological base for the design, construction, simulation, testing and implementation of containerized Grid-Off electrical systems from RES
The strategic objective of the project fulfilled the global objective OPVaV-2009/2.2/03-SORO. A „RES Research and Education Centre“ was established at the premises of TnUAD and educational activities were initiated, as well as a „Joint Research Centre for Renewable Energy Sources“ (JRC-RES) at the workplaces of RMC s.r.o. and TnUAD. The following specific objectives were created, documented and implemented: Expert System (ES) for the design of Grid-Off systems of hybrid RES power plants (solar, wind), together with an open and updatable ES database as a part of it. Technology base for the design and development of RES applications: Network server and workstations; CAD for design; Development environment for RS design; Design system for PCBs; Automatic optical inspection of PCBs; CAE for design and simulation; Spectrum and measurement analyzer; Automated measurement and test system; The „Container Dispensary with RES-based Island Power Plant“, ENIC-1C Ambulance, was implemented, which also received the following awards: the „Ecological Achievement of the Year 2014“ at the ELOSYS_2014 exhibition in Trenčín; the Award of the Minister of Economy – „Innovative Achievement of the Year 2014“, at the Engineering Exhibition in Nitra. It is a part of SVP-OZE in RMC s.r.o., respectively Research and Education Centre in TnUAD.
